We don't normally rescue horses other than Mustangs and Burros, but when we saw these Mini's in a kill pen in New Holland PA, there was just no way we could let these girls be slaughtered. I told Debbie to go get em! There were three Mini's in all, a six month old baby and two older horses, they could not tell us which of the older horses was the mother, so we took all three. It was pretty obvious who the Mother was when we got them home, so we named them Precious ( the Baby ), Sugar ( the Mother ) and Peaches ( the Vet beleives she may be Sugar's sister ).
They are all doing well in their new home. Each morning, when I walk down the drive way to get the newspaper the Mini's are lined up at their fence waiting for treats. So now I have a treats container in the kitchen just so I have enough treats each morning.
